How to install and configure Imaging on your computer

1. Before you begin

   Make sure that you have administrator authority on your computer. If you're not sure, contact your system administrator.

   If this icon does not appear on your Display toolbar,  install this software. Your IVAN browser Display toolbar should look like this:

     

   Click RUN to install the software, if necessary.

   

   Atlas Imaging Setup Instructions

   1. Download the following file: Atlas Imaging Software and select Run.

   

    

   2. If the following Open File - Security Warning window appears, click run.

   

   3. The following window will appear, select Install and the when finished, the window will disappear.

   

   4. Once completed, open an IVAN or HostFront Enterprise Server display Session.

   

   5. Select the Macro Management icon from the Display toolbar and The Macro Management properties window will appear.  If the Macro Management icon does not appear install this software by clicking on RUN and continue.

    

   6. Click Browse,  select the folder C:\Program Files\Atlas on your hard disk and click Close.

   

   7. AVLImages(R) will appear under the Macro Name:

   

   8. Click on the Add to menu button on the right and you should notice the  icon on the toolbar will become active and change to yellow.

   9. Click Close.

   10. The Imaging software is now installed, but Internet Explorer must be modified to allow the Imaging software to run properly on your system .

    

   Configuring Internet Explorer

   1. IMPORTANT: Make sure that your Browser is configured to disable "Reuse Windows for Launching Shortcuts" as follows:

   • From the Internet Explorer menu select Tools-->Internet Options and click on the Advanced TAB. 

   • Uncheck Reuse Windows for Launching Shortcuts as shown below

   

   • That's it, you're done.

    

   Using the Imaging Program

   1. Images can only be viewed from the Atlas Van Lines Image Request Screen, as shown below:

   

   2. Click the button from the HostFront ActiveX Display toolbar and select AVLImages from the pulldown menu. If a warning screen appears, select "Authorize this script" or "allow the script to run" and click OK. The script is not a virus or a malicious script, but anti-virus programs may perceive it as such.

    

    

   3. The AtlasNet Signon screen will appear. Enter your AtlasNET user-ID and password and login.

   4. The Dispatch Planning - Images For Shipment will appear. You can only select Images with a checkbox checked and a blue underline.
